For the benefit of home buyers, the Telangana State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TS RERA) has decided to publish the list of projects registered with it, on December 1. The list would comprise all the real estate projects registered with TS RERA till November 30.
As per the Real Estate (Regulations and Development) Act, 2016 and Telangana Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2017, notified by the State government, all real estate projects approved on or after January 1, 2017, with plots having above 500 sq.mts area or more than eight units, have to be registered with the Authority.Accordingly, all the builders/developers who had taken permission for real estate for projects between January 1, 2017 and August 31, 2018 have to get their projects registered with TS RERA before November 30 online on the website rera.telangana.gov.in to avoid penalties from December 1, according to a press release.
The Authority said despite several notices and reminders, some of the real estate projects were yet to registered by the promoters and developers and action would be initiated for levy of penalty against them.
